On the horizon...

I have a few things coming up in April that I cannot wait for! You know the anticipation you feel before the holidays or a vacation? That's how I'm feeling now.

Next weekend is the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston. Dad and I decided in January that we'd do this run together so it's been a fun goal to work towards. In case you aren't familiar it's a 10K race with about 35,000 people. Just don't look for me at the front of the pack.

In a few weeks I'll have an ENTIRE week off work, too. Some of my best friends and I will be hiding away in a little piece of heaven in the Smokies. I am so excited that we're all going to be able to spend a few days together catching up and relaxing.

In the meantime I'm planning the women's retreat for our church with some other fabulous ladies. The last weekend in April we'll be staying at this little gem in Topsail Island.

how about a big mac(k)?

Can you believe how huge this dog is? Pretty soon we won't even be able to see Ross in the recliner. RIDICULOUS!

Katie and Zach got married!

A couple of weeks ago I went to Greenville to be a part of the least stressful wedding day ever! I was so glad to spend the day with Katie and Zach celebrating and trying to capture a few photos for them to look back on and remember their wedding day. Congratulations, you guys!

IKEA + Stir Fry = tasty Sunday dinner!

OK so the famous IKEA superstore opened up shop in Charlotte a couple weeks back. Lots of hype about the super low prices and furniture you can walk out of the store with in a flat box. Mom and I went last week and I picked up this nonstick wok for $7.99. Seriously, people, that is some cheap frying.

Ross and I made a trip back and ended up buying a kitchen table and chairs for $129.99. We really liked the table that we've always had but it's just too big for our kitchen (i.e., you can't open the refrigerator when 4 people are sitting at the table). It came completely disassembled and Ross put it together in no time. This is how our dining area looks now...much more space.

So for dinner tonight I wanted to use my new wok and I picked up this tasty sauce at Trader Joes thanks to Danny and Kelli's fabulous stir fry that we had Tuesday. It's sooo good. I'm sad for you if you don't have a Trader Joes nearby. Come visit. I'll take you.

So we enjoyed a delicious dinner at our new table while the snow was falling outside.

Jokers Dueling Piano Bar

Ross and I, along with some of our friends, had the best night out Saturday at Jokers Dueling Piano Bar in Mooresville. The place was a riot. The pianists were extrememly talented and it was so entertaining! As the night wore on the music got raunchier and the crowd more rowdy but we had such a fun time. If any of you (yes, all two of my blog readers) come to visit us, we'll definitely hit it up!
