Charleston!

We had so much fun over race weekend! Ross ended up having to work so we picked Katie up in Greenville and we were off to join the 40,000 extra people in town. I don't know if I've ever seen so many people in my life! We had a really nice weekend overall- I met my goal which was just to jog the entire 6.2 miles. Dad thinks we should shoot for an hour or under next year...we'll see!

This picture is just to point out to you once again why I have the best job ever. Our principal, Sharon, was also running the race so the day before we left for Charleston our students gave us a huge send off! They taught the history of the bridge run and then gave us hats, towels, and bags with our PLC (Performance Learning Center) emblem and mascot on them. This was an additional "timing chip" for our shoes. It was awesome.

Dad and I on the ferry on the way to the start.

Speaking of the start, it's way up under that yellow banner. Can you see it? It took us 11 minutes just to get up there!

I'll spare you the "after" pictures!
